Dementia Residential Locations

Our Locations

Leaf Care offers Dementia-Village-living in two locations—Ixworth Court, Ixworth, in a beautifully green, Suffolk Village, and Leaf Park Dementia Village in Great Yarmouth, East Norfolk, not far from the sea.

Both residential locations host facilities that include hairdressers, a supermarket, a restaurant, and many spaces for socializing. We place emphasis on providing opportunities for movement, exercise and, mixing with others through organised activities and events.
At our Dementia Villages, we help our residents to live a life that closely reflects the life that they were used to—A life that enables free living for people with dementia, supporting them in the things that they enjoy, in a safe environment, but with care day and night.

Living Together in a Group

In our Dementia Villages, residents share their homes with up to nine others. Each resident has a bedroom and full-time carer support. Our wish is for residents to live comfortably, to lead their own life as much as possible, with round-the-clock care from our healthcare professionals.
We are proud to be recognised as a non-traditional nursing home, but instead, a new style of home for people with dementia, where they have the freedom to make their own choices, where deemed safe.
To keep up to date with our unique view of care, living, and well-being, you can read our blog here

Ixworth Court Dementia Village

Ixworth Court was designed to closely represent that of a village, thus incorporating streets, squares, and a team of careworkers. Where appropriate, independent living is encouraged, making us unique in our approach to care, compared to traditional nursing or residential care homes.
Our residents have the opportunity to see and smell the food that is being cooked and to touch and fold their freshly laundered linen. We encourage our residents to walk outside, smell the flowers, and get involved in outdoor activities. Our village shop means that residents can ‘go shopping’ and our onsite restaurant means that they can ‘go out’ for dinner.
Providing residents remain safe; they can choose whether they would like support, care, or company. Working evidence suggests that this helps a person with dementia to maintain some level of control of their day-to-day, positively impacting their sense of self.
